Yes. We strongly encourage participants to dress in a manner befitting professionals while attending educational events and the AT Expo. Business casual – shirts, slacks, skirts or blouses (no jeans or shorts) is the recommended attire.

Volunteers should wear business casual attire (khakis, slacks, golf shirts, blouses or sweaters). No jeans or shorts.

Learning Lab participants should wear lab attire (something comfortable you can move freely in) for the Learning Lab and return to business casual afterwards.

The Georgia World Congress Center operates more than 15 permanent restaurants and eateries, including but not limited to:

As with any destination, we recommend that conference attendees practice common sense and do not wander into deserted, non-tourist areas of the city. Wear your name badge at all times while in the convention center or key hotels.

Registration

Registration will open in early March.  For complete registration information, including fees, see the register page.

Short answer: Yes

Although there is no charge for guests and children, they must be registered to attend. A Child Release Form must be completed during the registration process for children 17 and under. Access to the AT Expo requires age verification.

Yes. You can register onsite at any of the Express Registration counters.

Badges and other registration materials can be picked up onsite during the following registration hours:

Saturday, June 20                   6:45 a.m. – 1 p.m.

For the safety and security of all convention attendees, NATA no longer offers on-site badge reprints.

AT Expo

The AT Expo is accessible via Hall B1 at the Georgia World Congress Center.

AT Expo Hours

Thursday, June 18 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. (restricted to certified athletic trainers, certified athletic training students and associate member attendees)
Friday, June 19  10 a.m. – 5 p.m. (open to all badged attendees)
Saturday, June 20 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. (open to all badged attendees)

Travel/Housing/Shuttle

To receive NATA’s discounted hotel rates you must book your room through NATA’s official housing provider.

By booking within an official hotel room block, you also gain access to our complimentary shuttle service to/from select hotels and the GWCC.  Visit the Travel and Accommodations  page to learn more.

Most hotels in downtown Atlanta offer valet parking only at a cost ranging from $45-$50/day.  Check directly with your hotel for parking options at or near your hotel.

First Time Attendees

If you’re a new member to NATA (two years or less) or this is your first convention, connect with your peers at the First-Time Attendee/New Member Reception. Registration required.

Newbies are also encouraged to stop by the Ribbon Bar and pick up the First Time Attendee ribbon.

Students

Non-certified students are eligible to attend the Athletic Training Student Seminar (ATSS), Lectures, Free Communications and Forums.

Outside of educational programming, students are encouraged to attend the Welcome Reception, Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony, General Session and NATA Keynote.

Certified Athletic Training students are eligible to attend all days of the AT Expo. Non-certified students are eligible to attend Friday, June 19 and Saturday, June 20 of the AT Expo.
